Blaster Island is a game made by Faran, LLC.
No accounts, no chat, no analytics of our own. Blaster Island has no sign-in, no chat, no player names and no way to send messages or share anything with other players. We don't run analytics or tracking of our own, and we never see who you are.
Your progress stays on your device. Your level, coins, unlocked looks, look packs, settings and the answer to the age question are stored on your phone or tablet, in the app's own storage. If you have device backups turned on, your phone may include them in your own Google or iCloud backup, which we can't see. Deleting the app deletes them.
The age question. The first time the game starts, it asks how old the player is. The answer only decides which ads may be shown (see below) and stays on your device.
Playing together. Phones on the same Wi-Fi can find each other and play a round together. Playing over the internet is off until ONLINE is turned on in the game. Then the game connects to our game server, bandits.faran.io, which runs on Cloudflare. Either way, the game only sends what a round needs: where each player moves, their darts and balloons, and the look of their alien. It sends no names, messages or IDs. Like any internet service, the server sees your device's network (IP) address while you're connected; we don't store it or anything else about players, and a round is forgotten when it ends. Cloudflare handles the connection as our host, under its privacy policy.
Ads. The game shows ads from Google AdMob between some rounds, never during play and never when the game starts. To show and measure ads, Google may collect information such as your device's advertising ID, IP address and how you interact with ads, as described in how Google uses information from apps that use its services. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, players 13 and over are asked for consent through Google's consent message, and can change their choice with AD CHOICES on the title screen.
Children. Blaster Island is made for kids and grown-ups alike. For players under 13, and before the age question is answered, every ad request is marked as directed to children: the advertising ID is not sent, ads are never personalized or based on interests, there is no remarketing, and only ads rated for general audiences are shown. Parents can require approval for purchases in their Google Play or App Store family settings.
Purchases. Look packs are one-time purchases made through Google Play or the App Store. Google or Apple handles the payment; we never see your payment details. The game only learns which packs were bought, so it can unlock them.
Changes. If a future version changes any of this, we will update this page and the app's store listing before that version ships.
