OVERDUB support

A rhythm shooter where every take you record joins the band.

Something wrong, or an idea? Email info@faran.io. Tell us your phone model and what happened, and we'll get back to you.

How do I play?

Slide anywhere on the screen to move. Your instrument fires on the beat, and where you stand decides what you hit and which notes you play. When a take ends, it plays again as a ghost beside you while you record the next one on another instrument. Clear a song by stopping every slab before it breaks through the waveform line.

What happens in a boss battle?

The boss strikes the stage on the beat. The lanes it's about to hit turn red and count down. Step out of them: a player caught in a strike is knocked out for a bar and plays nothing until it wears off. Your ghosts replay their takes exactly, so a ghost that dodged when you recorded it dodges again.

There's no sound on my iPhone

Turn the volume up. OVERDUB plays its music even with the silent switch on.

How do I start a song over?

On the screen between takes, tap START OVER.

Where are my saved videos?

SAVE VIDEO opens your phone's share sheet. Choose Save Video to keep it in your photos, or send it wherever you like.

What's free, and what does the full game add?

Side A and the Daily Jam are free. One purchase unlocks the full game for good: sides B, C and D (15 more songs and three more boss battles), THE TOUR (new songs and bosses that never run out) and Free Jam. There are no ads and no subscription.

I bought the full game. How do I get it on a new phone?

Sign in to the store with the same account, tap FULL GAME on the title screen, then RESTORE PURCHASES. Erasing your progress never takes the purchase away.

Where is my progress saved?

Only on your device. There are no accounts, so progress doesn't move between phones, except through your phone's own iCloud or Google backup if it's turned on. Deleting the app deletes your progress. To start over on purpose, use SETUP, then ERASE PROGRESS.

Does it need the internet?

No. OVERDUB plays fully offline, with no ads, no accounts and no tracking. Only buying or restoring the full game talks to the store.
